FAFSA & Financial Aid Eligibility

Wondering if you are eligible for financial aid? The best way to determine eligibility and start your financial aid journey is by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Financial aid eligibility is determined based on FAFSA calculations, assessing financial need under Title IV programs. To fill out the FAFSA, you’ll need to:

    • Federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other financial records
    • Records of untaxed income, if any

    • DuVall’s School of Cosmetology school code: 041548
  2. Complete the FAFSA online
    • Visit the website and create an FSA ID
    • Fill out the FAFSA form and provide all the necessary information
    • Enter DuVall’s School of Cosmetology school code (041548) to ensure your application is sent to our financial aid office
  3. Review and submit your application
    • Double-check your application to make sure everything is accurate
    • Submit the FAFSA and save the confirmation email
    • Keep an eye out for follow-up emails regarding your Student Aid Report (SAR)
  4. Meet with the financial aid team
    • Once the FAFSA is processed, our Financial Aid team will meet with you to review your financial aid package and create a personalized financial plan

FAQs about Financial Aid

Do I qualify for financial aid?

The best way to determine whether you are eligible for financial aid is to fill out the FAFSA. This will give you a start on your financial plan and help you explore all your options. It also gives our financial aid team a starting place for helping you determine your options. You can fill out the FAFSA online for free, and there is no obligation involved.

Does financial aid cover the cost of my books and kit?

Yes! Financial aid can cover books, kits, and other educational expenses. Our team will help you understand how your funds are allocated. If your federal aid doesn’t cover the cost of your kit, there may be private loans, grants, or scholarships that can help.

What if federal aid doesn't cover the cost of my tuition?

In most cases, federal aid won’t cover the entire cost of your tuition. This is normal! Most students use a combination of federal aid, scholarships, and private loans to cover the cost of their training. Our advisors can help you explore all the options. We know that the cost of your training can be a concern, but you are worth it!

See What Our Students Have To Say

I had a facial and back treatment with Bailey and it was the best experience. Bailey made me feel so comfortable and asked questions about my skin and made suggestions to help my skincare routine. Also, her hands!!! I didn’t realize my jaw and cheekbones could even be sore until she did the facial massage. The only downside was when she gently tapped my shoulder to let me know our time was up. I will be back!!!

I love this place. Since I have been lucky enough to hear about it I come weekly. I get a shampoo and blow out every week and I try to fit in as many facials as I can . Lynn is the receptionist and I love her. She always tries to get me in on my schedule. I have had many a stylist do my hair always to my liking. The teachers are great and always ready to help a student who has a question. Thank you Duval’s you have made my retirement just so much better!

Patty Beyer

The mood is positive and everyone has a supportive attitude. The culture at DuVall’s is one that encourages students to have fun, but also be responsible. The staff is excellent. I always feel like there is someone there to give me advice or feedback when I need it.
